This is a good product at what it does. The question for a school is what else is on the invoice: each remaining job is another product, another bill, another set of logins, and a handover you do by hand every time.

One login, one pool of credits, one place the spending shows up. A video drops into a lesson, the lesson becomes an assignment, the assignment writes to a base and an app reads it — nothing is exported and re-imported.

A role, not a set of switches.
Everyone inside gets the product. If a feature is not right for a group — thirteen-year-olds, or a department mid-pilot — the answer is to not give them an account at all.

Year 7 opens the library and can chat. They cannot build apps or reach the database. Change your mind at 9am and it is different at 9.01, for that group only — without removing anyone's account.

A narrated video from one sentence
An MP4 in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1, where the shape changes what gets drawn rather than cropping it, with subtitles off, as a separate .srt file, or burned in.
Any of the big models
Flow Designer reaches Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, Grok and DeepSeek among others, and nothing on that list depends on your plan; an administrator can narrow it for the whole organisation.

Apps that send the message themselves
A trip consent app can email a parent through Gmail or send a WhatsApp message, and the key that lets it do so is added on the server, so the app never holds it.
Where Khanmigo is the better choice
If the job is a student stuck on a specific exercise tonight, Khanmigo is ahead and we are not close. The tutor sits on Khan Academy's own vetted, standards-aligned library, so the help is about that exercise, and the teacher sees the chat and the mastery movement in one place. LearningFlow has no course library of its own. A US district buying tutoring and practice in core subjects, or a teacher with no budget at all, should start with Khanmigo.

Before they decide.
Can we run both, and can we move work across?
Yes, and plenty of schools should. Khanmigo tutors students inside Khan Academy's courses, and LearningFlow is where you make the things Khan Academy does not have. There is no import between them. A Khanmigo document exports as Word or PDF, and Work with AI can read that file and carry on, as long as the text is real text and not a photograph of a page.
Is Khanmigo really free for teachers, and what is the catch?
The free teacher tools are genuinely free for any account with the teacher role, in nearly every country and in several languages. Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria and the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions are excluded. The catch is scope. Free covers the teacher's own tools, and a teacher cannot switch Khanmigo on for under-18 students without a Districts partnership, a parent-linked child account, or a Writing Coach assignment.
What does a school actually pay for each one?
Khan Academy Districts Enterprise Starter is $10 per student per year, for up to 1,000 student licences, and can be bought by card with no purchase order. Above 1,000 licences the Enterprise tier is quoted after a demo. LearningFlow sells credits rather than seats, with no subscription and no per-seat licence, and personal, organisation and enterprise wallets stay separate.
We are outside the United States, or we are a corporate training team.
The free teacher tools reach nearly every country, but Khanmigo's paid subscriptions are United States only, and Khan Academy's terms limit use to personal, non-commercial purposes, so company training sits outside them. LearningFlow sells to schools, colleges and training teams, and resellers run sub-organisations with their own currency, exchange rate and price tiers.
What can an administrator switch on and off?
In Khanmigo the documented controls are an on and off switch for your own account, a parent switch per linked child, a class Focus mode that pauses Khanmigo for up to four hours and then re-enables itself, and a list of named admins who receive high-severity moderation alerts. In LearningFlow seven capabilities are switched per member, and a role has to grant the key before the member can turn one on.
