SchoolAI puts AI in front of students and lets one teacher watch all thirty conversations as they happen, which is hard to build and they have built it. LearningFlow sits behind that job: a canvas for the tool nobody has written yet, an agent that hands back a working .xlsx, and apps the school owns.

Where the two are built differently.
A role, not a set of switches.
Everyone inside gets the product. If a feature is not right for a group — thirteen-year-olds, or a department mid-pilot — the answer is to not give them an account at all.
Seven switches, per group.
Year 7 opens the library and can chat. They cannot build apps or reach the database. Change your mind at 9am and it is different at 9.01, for that group only — without removing anyone's account.

Ask for a marks book and Work with AI returns an .xlsx whose formulas still recalculate when you change one grade.
Apps with a sign-in
Describe a consent slip tracker and Solution Designer builds a working app with its own address and its own sign-in.
A contract per app
A client, a webhook and a scheduler share one base, and each holds permissions scoped to named tables, named columns and a row filter, with an expiry.
A narrated whiteboard video
One sentence becomes an MP4 in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1, with subtitles off, as a sidecar .srt, or burned in.
Where SchoolAI is the better choice
If the job is putting AI in front of students at district scale, SchoolAI is the better buy. A head of year who needs all thirty conversations in one view, with a worrying one escalated to the safeguarding lead, gets that from Mission Control on a paid plan. Critical alerts stay on for every user on every plan, but the free tier is a trial of five Space sessions a year, and Pro and Scale are sold through a school or district. They also carry the procurement file most districts ask for, FERPA, COPPA, SOC 2 Type 2, ESSA Tier 3 and 1EdTech TrustEd Apps, alongside LTI into Canvas, Schoology, Blackboard and D2L. We do not watch live student chats, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

Before they decide.
What does SchoolAI cost?
Publicly, nothing is stated. As of 13 September 2026 the pricing page shows Free Trial, Pro and Scale with feature bullets and no figures, and both paid tiers lead to a demo request. There is no published per-teacher rate, seat minimum or contract term, so budget for a sales-led quote. LearningFlow prices in credits rather than seats and needs no subscription.
Can we run both?
Yes, and plenty of schools would want to. Keep SchoolAI for supervised student activities, and call LearningFlow from outside with POST /task/:taskId and an x-api-key for the documents, spreadsheets and videos around them. There is no import path between the two, so a Space gets rebuilt as a flow rather than migrated. Start with the three tools your staff actually run every week.
A teacher leaves in July. What happens to their work?
In SchoolAI an admin runs the offboarding copy before the account goes, and it duplicates rather than moves: the original member keeps every asset. In LearningFlow orgId is stamped when the object is made and never moves, so removing the member deletes their membership row and not the work. An admin can also list org-library tools whose owner has left and reassign them.
Will we get editable Word, PowerPoint and Excel files?
Not directly. Documents export to Google Docs, and the help centre's own answer to Word is to download the .docx from Google Docs, so a teacher gets there in two steps. Work with AI returns .docx, .pptx and .xlsx, and Whiteboard Studio returns a narrated .mp4. It has no OCR, so give it typed text or a digital PDF, not a photo of a worksheet.
Can we pin the model our policy approved?
In SchoolAI, no. There is no model picker, and the providers are not named publicly: the trust pages say only "AI providers", and the pricing page draws no model distinction between tiers. In LearningFlow, Flow Designer reaches Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, Grok and DeepSeek among others, no plan gates the choice, and an administrator can override the list for the whole organisation.
